Members of the Meetings Mean Business Coalition thanked Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) for her leadership as lead sponsor of the Visit America Act—critical legislation that included the creation of an Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism—ensuring that travel issues receive a higher level of focused energy from the government. In addition, U.S. Travel members discussed the importance of working with the administration to lower visa wait times and the impact of meetings and conventions on business in Las Vegas. The group also touched on the importance of the Congressional Travel and Tourism Caucus policy priorities—including measures that will continue to grow the industry across all segments.
